How I look after your information
Last updated: 22 October 2026
I'm Nick Riggott, and ARC Advisory is my business. This page explains what information I collect through this website, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. If anything here isn't clear, email me at nick@arc-advisory.co.uk.
Who is responsible for your information
ARC Advisory is a trading name of ARC Commercial Advisory Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17407501. Registered office: Kln Accountancy Services Limited, Units 1-2 Basford House, Derby Road, Heanor, United Kingdom, DE75 7QL. ARC Commercial Advisory Ltd is the data controller for the information described here.
What I collect
- The Sales Maturity Self-Assessment. Your name, company, email address, your answers and any notes you add, your score, and whether you ticked the box saying I can get in touch.
- Booking a conversation. The details you enter when you book a time with me, such as your name, email and anything you tell me about your business.
- Emails and calls. Anything you send me directly.
- Visiting the site. Basic information about how the site is used, such as pages viewed and the type of device, collected by the analytics tools described below.
Why I use it
- To show you your assessment results and keep a record of them.
- To get in touch about your results, but only if you ticked the box to say that's fine.
- To arrange and prepare for conversations you've booked.
- To reply to you and keep a record of our conversations.
- To understand how the site is used so I can improve it.
The legal basis I rely on is your consent where you've ticked the box to be contacted, and my legitimate interest in running and improving the business and responding to people who get in touch. Where we go on to work together, I'll also rely on what's needed to deliver that work.
Who else handles it
I don't sell your information or pass it on to anyone for their own use. I do use a small number of service providers to run the site and the business, and they handle information on my behalf:
- Airtable, which stores assessment answers and results.
- Netlify, which carries your assessment answers securely from the website to Airtable.
- HubSpot, which I use for contacts, meeting bookings and website analytics. My HubSpot account is held in its EU data centre.
- GitHub, which hosts this website.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without using cookies.
- My email provider, for messages you send me.
Some of these providers may store or access information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
Cookies
HubSpot uses cookies to understand how the site is used and to remember returning visitors. You'll see a cookie banner on your first visit and can choose whether to accept these. Cloudflare Web Analytics doesn't use cookies.
How long I keep it
I keep assessment results and contact details for up to 24 months after we were last in touch, unless we're working together, in which case I keep what I need for as long as the work and any legal or accounting requirements last. You can ask me to delete your information sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it to contact you. Just email nick@arc-advisory.co.uk and I'll deal with it within a month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this page
If I change how I use your information, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
